Meet the Owner! I started Seed Needs at just 15 to bring my family closer, retire my father, employ friends, and, most importantly, help people. From this humble beginning, Seed Needs has grown to become a trusted provider of high-quality seeds and gardening supplies.

Popular Items for 2024! Who doesn't love flowers? We offer open-pollinated, heirloom favorites such as daisies, cosmos, zinnias, nasturtium, and sunflowers. Seed Needs also offers a wide range of culinary and medicinal herb seeds, including basil, chives, cilantro, rosemary, lavender, and chamomile. And for the vegetable enthusiasts, we provide all the popular heirloom favorites, from carrots and cabbage to lettuce, radish, tomatoes, kale, beets, and turnips.

The Seed Needs Story: Seed Needs originally started as a username for an online marketplace. We discovered Amazon in 2010 and soon after established our brand, selling our products to millions of happy customers over the past decade. What makes our products unique? We absolutely love art and not only provide quality seeds but also beautiful packaging that is sure to make you smile when you receive your order.

Giving Back: With the success of Seed Needs, we have been able to grow our sponsorships from just 1 child to over 100 children each month. We are very humbled to be able to help those in need. Reina was the first child I sponsored in 2010, and more than a decade later, Seed Needs now sponsors over 100 kids each and every month. We also continually donate to St. Jude Children's Hospital and the ASPCA, as we believe in giving back to both the human and animal communities.

About Our Seeds: Our seed is always fresh, clean, and ready to germinate and grow quickly for the current and following growing seasons. Seed Needs packets are beautifully and artfully illustrated, water-resistant to keep the seeds fresher, and include detailed sowing information on the back and an easy-to-scan QR code for additional information.

From Then to Now: Seed Needs was started to help family and friends, and we grew alongside Amazon from the beginning. We have successfully shipped over 10 million seed packets and more than a million orders. We started out with hand-filling all seed packets, but in 2017, we incorporated machines, which allowed us to offer more variety and a more cost-effective method compared to hand-filling.

Seed Needs: Quality, Quantity, and a Promise: Our seed packets are designed with care, offering generous quantities, detailed growing instructions, and a promise that we will never knowingly supply GMO-based seed products. The vast majority of our seeds are open-pollinated and heirloom, with the exception of a few hybrids. When sown correctly, you can expect to see results in just a matter of days, thanks to the freshness of our seeds. All our seeds are packed in tear-resistant and moisture-resistant packaging to keep them fresh longer than the competition.
